Whitewater Rafting On The McKenzie River

The weather has warmed up and it’s time to hit the river and cool off! Our whitewater rafting day trips on the McKenzie River are a great way to spend a warm summer day with friends and family, or as an exciting addition to a special group event! The McKenzie River really showcases the scenic beauty that Western Oregon and the Northwest has to offer. On a typical day trip you will run class ll, ll+, and call lll rapids, see wildlife such as osprey diving after trout, and enjoy a great picnic lunch along the way. The middle run on the upper McKenzie will finish the day with a run through the class lll Martins Raps. Enjoy the video clip!

Trout Fishing Heats Up On The McKenzie River

Fishing has been excellent this past week on the McKenzie River! We have been having a nice mix of hatchery and wild fish with high catch rates and good sized rainbow trout. The fish have been taking both dry and wet flies with a #12 orange elk hair caddis being the go to fly. Trout have also been hitting both lures and plugs as well. Both the middle section of the McKenzie above the dam and the section from Leaburd Dam down have  been very productive!
